Brought up in Malta, her parents worked very hard to earn money. They had businesses and we were relatively well off but not wealthy by any means. Her dad always wanted her to become an accountant. Even though she was’t keen on the idea Cynthia went to London to study and became an accountant. She worked in banking and corporate for 20 years but didn’t like it at all.
Cynthia tried her hand at many businesses but came up against money blocks. Whilst working through these she realised that all the time she was setting up a new business, she ended up sabotaging herself and proving her dad right about corporate life. She always chose businesses which were not going to make money and even invested heavily in a business where she lost £150k in 9 months.
‘It took me years to talk about my big loss but now I share my story. I do believe now that all my experiences led to my business coaching – as I’ve had experiences in diverse businesses. Now I finally stepped into my power to make money and help others doing the same….and I’m loving it.’
So, without further ado, here is Cynthia’s earliest money memory and her top tips for succeeding on your own money journey.
